The payment reality of gaming

A gaming platform processes an unusual volume of small transactions: in-game currency, cosmetic items, battle passes and instant top-ups, often several times a day per active player. Authorization has to hold up at that volume and has to happen in real time, or the purchase is abandoned before it completes.
